My love of fantasy began when I was very young, hearing simple tales like "Hansel and Gretel" or "Jack and the Beanstalk".  When I was an adolescent, my interest in fantasy grew with the reading of J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic The Hobbit.  By the time I transitioned into The Lord of the Rings, I was hooked.

My favorite fantasy stories (in addition to Tolkien’s works) include The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis and The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan.

As for science fiction, I recall reading a lot of books by Michael Crichton (Sphere is my favorite) during high school.  Another favorite of mine is Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, one of the few books I’ve read more than once.

I work as a software engineer by day and a fiction writer as time allows.  My wife and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana.  We have a beautiful daughter named Elora and a handsome son named William.  We also have a trio of cats, whose antics range from amusing to annoying.
